The Shore Group Leadership Team have many years recruitment industry experience and are all experts in their chosen verticals.  Here at the Shore Group we believe that offering the best possible service to both clients and candidates is essential to the development of our business.  Our leadership team fully understand that and ensure each and every member of their team also put Clients and Candidates at the forefront of everything we do.

Carey Jelliman

“I was drawn to The Shore Group after moving here from South Africa because of the company’s reputation and positive work environment. I enjoy working here because I’m allowed autonomy in my job which is to manage business risk whilst also concentrating on our CSR and ethical trading.” 

Day to day, Carey deals with all the TSG suppliers, concentrating mainly on the most business critical, and oversee the Credit Management of all our clients. She takes pride in bringing energy into each project that she is involved with and is using this energy to run all the commercials of the business.    

The Shore Group has also funded and accommodated Carey’s Procurement studies which takes up a lot of her spare time, but when she is not studying or working, she, enjoy BBQs with friends, Paddle boarding (with and without her two dogs), travelling and experiencing different cultures.

 Steve Davies

“I have worked for The Shore Group for almost 10 years and feel extremely fortunate to have found a career I enjoy, after spending many years in the financial markets working way too many hours. I joined the business as one of the first few employees and have been part of its exponential growth.” 

As Construction Director, Steve is responsible for delivering the annual construction budget, developing new business and key client relationships whilst supporting and developing his team of Manager, Consultants, Account Managers and Resourcers. 

Outside of work, Steve enjoys coming home to village life after spending the majority of my time in the City, with his weekends being spent with his wife, 2-year-old daughter and two black Labradors. Any other free time is spent playing golf, shooting and fishing.

Simon Jones

“I have almost 30 years’ experience working for some of the largest recruitment businesses in the UK and am using this knowledge to help our staff deliver targets and outstanding service to our clients. I enjoy helping our staff to become the best they can be and working as part of the team.” 

In his role as Operations Director, Simon has overall responsibility for sales delivery, developing staff and client relationships. He is part of the Senior Leadership Team, and works from board room to building site, supported by the other members of the Board. 

Out of work, Simon is a big sports fan and as a proud Welshman, follows his beloved national rugby team and his boyhood heroes, Cardiff City. He can also occasionally be found on the football pitch himself, usually in goal!

Brian Croot

“I am very passionate about working in the M&E sector and have been involved in this area for a good number of years… I get a real buzz out of building relationships, securing and maintaining major projects, and developing partnership agreements with contractors across the UK.” 

Brian is accountable for steering The Shore Groups M&E delivery team to deliver a target of £30M, from Principal and Tier 1 & 2 contractors. He also ensures that our compliance and service delivery is outstanding, and is tasked to continually develop the team to make sure we can offer growth and opportunities.  

Brian has 3 daughters & 2 grandchildren, and has a fine collection of classic Italian scooters, which get regular outings in fine weather. He also enjoys Motown Northern Soul and has a fine collection of suits and parkas to complement the period look.

 Dave Southon

“I have been involved in recruitment for over 15 years. Over this time, I have worked in Sussex, and more recently in London and across the UK. I am able to work with autonomy to develop relationships and make sure we are delivering a premium service to our clients”. 

Dave is our Key Accounts Director – he looks after a number of clients, ensuring that their requirements are resourced effectively and we are maximising our market share. He works closely with our back-office team, ensuring that TSG provides an outstanding service, and also works with our compliance team, making sure that staff are informed about legislation. 

Out of work, Dave spends time with his family, who have a broad range of interests including horse-riding, football and motocross. He also enjoys creating fine food which is always accompanied by a glass of wine.

Richard Woodbridge

“I am the Group Finance Director, and a Chartered Management Accountant. It’s been a great 7 years so far with The Shore Group – after spending a number of years in large organisations, it’s been very exciting to help the Group grow and develop to £150M turnover”. 

Richard has overall responsibility for the back-office function of the Group. He financially plans our strategic direction and ensures risks are minimised. He is focused on building a best in class finance function for the Shore Group that delivers for clients with everything ‘right first time’.  He also has a strong passion for giving opportunities and developing current staff who have proved their capabilities in other roles.

Outside of work, Richard is involved with Steyning Town Football Club, is married to Debbie with 3 children, and enjoys holidays in his native West Country. He has a strong interest in all sports and still plays golf and football on a regular basis.
