Environmental Policy Statement

The Shore Group (TSG) was established in 2008 with the objective of delivering a tailored service to clients and candidates, built on the Founders’ extensive experience of developing client relationships and placing temporary, contract and permanent staff. We now employ 100 staff in distinct operational divisions with a clear management structure, and resource over 20,000 client requirements each year within a range of sectors, including M&E, Construction, Engineering, Telecoms, Security, Aviation and Logistics. 



The Shore Group is committed to managing its impact on the environment by understanding the impact of its business activities, reducing environmental impacts and risks of incidents resulting from its operations and promoting sustainable practices. This policy provides the framework for se>ng and reviewing environmental objectives and targets designed to deliver continual improvement in environmental performance. 



The Company Directors and Management are committed to: 



· Reducing TSG’s overall carbon emission and impact on the environment 

· Identifying the businesses environmental aspects and impacts and implementing control measures throughout the company. 

· Providing sufficient resources to support the business aims and objectives 

· Complying with all relevant legislation and implementing ethical business practices. 

· Include the consideration of environmental issues in all business strategies and initiatives 



To help effectively achieve the commitment outlined by this policy, TSG operates an Integrated Management System in accordance with the requirements of the standards BS EN ISO14001:2015, BS EN ISO9001:2015, BS EN ISO45001:2018 and BS EN ISO27001:2018. This management system is certified to the above standards and is audited annually by a UKAS accredited body to ensure compliance. The management system supports the claims in this statement by implementing business practices including, but not limited to the following: 



· The prevention of pollution and reduction of waste through policy, procedure and employee engagement and training 

· Measuring environmental performance and setting reduction targets. 

· Seeking best practice in nuisance prevention where applicable

· Encouraging stakeholders to reduce the environmental impacts of their own activities where applicable 

· Using local suppliers to support the local economy and encourage growth and investment for future generations as well as minimising the carbon impact of deliveries and transport. 

· Conducting due diligence in supplier onboarding to ensure the company is only working with like-minded businesses and ongoing supplier review to ensure suppliers are meeting their obligations. 

· Complying with applicable legal requirements, statutory, legislation and relevant industry standards, ensuring operations are completed in accordance with them 

· Continually improving the Integrated Management System to enhance environmental performance 



The Shore Group is committed to communicating, engaging and consulting with our employees and ensuring that everybody is aware of their individual responsibilities and commitments to help the business achieve its objectives and fulfil its obligations. This policy is communicated to all employees as part of the onboarding process and is available on the Company SharePoint. This policy is approved by senior management and is reviewed annually to monitor its effectiveness and to ensure that it reflects changing needs and circumstances. This policy is effective immediately and supersedes all previous versions.
