Supplier Code of Condouct

1. Introduction



This Supplier Code of Conduct ("Code") outlines a set of minimum standards expected from all suppliers who provide goods or services to The Shore Group (TSG). Our company is committed to ethical business practices, high standards of human and labour rights, environmental sustainability and the highest levels of Health and Safety and quality. We expect our suppliers to uphold these principles in all their operations.



2. Legal Compliance



Suppliers must comply with all applicable local, national and international laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

  • Labour Laws: Compliance with all applicable labour laws, including those relating to wages, working hours, benefits and forced labour.

  • Health and Safety Regulations: Adherence to all health and safety laws to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Environmental Laws: Compliance with environmental laws to minimize the impact on the environment.

  • Employment Practices: Upholding anti-discrimination laws and practices in hiring and employment.


3. Employment Standards and Workers’ Rights

Suppliers must respect the rights of workers and adhere to fair labour practices, including:

  • No Forced Labour: Suppliers must not use forced, bonded, or involuntary labour of any kind.

  • Child Labor: Suppliers must not employ workers below the legal minimum age and must

    comply with all applicable child labour laws.

  • Wages and Benefits: Suppliers must provide wages and benefits that meet or exceed the legal

    minimum standards.

  • Working Hours: Suppliers must ensure that working hours comply with applicable laws, and

    workers are provided with appropriate rest breaks and time off.

  • Freedom of Association: Suppliers must respect workers' rights to freely associate, organize,

    and bargain collectively in accordance with local laws.


4. Health and Safety

Suppliers must prioritise the health and safety of their workers by:

  • Safe Working Environment: Providing a safe and healthy work environment that minimises risks of accidents, injuries, and exposure to health hazards.

  • Training: Ensuring workers are adequately trained on health and safety policies and procedures.

    • Safety Equipment: Providing necessary safety equipment and ensuring it is properly maintained and used.

    • Monitoring: Employee wellbeing and safety should be monitored and regularly reviewed to identify areas for improvement. Accidents, incidents and near misses should be recorded and reviewed with improvement measures implemented.

    • Consultation: Involving workers in Health and Safety review, decision making and action plan implementation.


    5. Environmental Management



    Suppliers are expected to minimise their environmental impact and promote sustainability by:

    • Waste Management: Implementing waste management practices that reduce, reuse and recycle waste materials.

    • Resource Conservation: Using resources efficiently, including energy, water and raw materials.

    • Pollution Control: Taking measures to reduce emissions, discharges and releases of pollutants into the environment.

    • Reduction: Having clear objectives and measurable targets to reduce emissions and the impact of its business activity on the environment.


    6. Ethical Business Practices and Business Continuity

    Suppliers must conduct their business with integrity, fairness, and transparency by:

    • Anti-Corruption: Prohibiting all forms of bribery, corruption and unethical business practices.

    • Conflicts of Interest: Avoiding conflicts of interest and disclosing any situation that may

      appear as a conflict.

    • Confidentiality: Respecting the confidentiality of The Shore Group’s proprietary information

      and data.

    • Fair Competition: Competing fairly and complying with all applicable competition laws.

    • Business continuity: Having a robust and tested business continuity plan in place to ensure

      the continued provision of services in the event of disruption because of emergency.


    7. Quality and Continuous Improvement



    Suppliers must ensure that all goods and services provided meet the required safety and quality standards:

    • Compliance with Specifications: Delivering goods and services that meet the agreed specifications and quality standards.

    • Product Safety: Ensuring that all products and services supplied are safe for use and comply with applicable safety regulations. All products should be marked with the CE or UKCA marking where required

    • Continuous Improvement: Striving for continuous improvement in processes, products, and services.



    8. Supply Chain Management



    Suppliers are expected to have a mechanism for onboarding and regularly reviewing their own supply chain to help identify, limit and mitigate risk in the above areas.



    9. Monitoring and Evaluation



    The Shore Group reserves the right to monitor compliance with this Code through, regular supplier review and where required, audits, inspections, and other means. Suppliers are expected to:

    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records that demonstrate compliance with this Code.

    • Cooperation: Cooperate fully with any audits or investigations conducted by The Shore Group.

    • Corrective Actions: Implement corrective actions promptly when non-compliance is identified.



      10. Termination



      In the event of noncompliance with this code, The Shore Group may consider the termination of contracts or agreements as a measure of last recourse.
