OVERVIEW

The Shore Group’s Retail team played a vital role in supporting Poundland with the rapid conversion of former Wilko stores across the UK. Following Poundland & Dealz’s acquisition of more than 70 Wilko locations, our teams ensured that stores were reconfigured, fitted out, and fully merchandised to welcome customers back in record time.

SCOPE OF WORK

The project included reconfiguration of shelving layouts, installation of Poundland point-of-sale materials, and full merchandising of all shelving. These works enabled the stores to be trading-ready within just six days of key handover, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum impact for local communities.

CHALLENGES

The project demanded an extremely fast turnaround to meet Poundland’s requirement of opening multiple stores within a one-week programme. This required precise coordination, logistical efficiency, and the ability to mobilise skilled teams nationwide on short notice.
