Investment in the Next Generation
At The Shore Group, we believe that investing in the next generation of construction professionals is part of our responsibility as a business , not just something we do when it's convenient. That's why we were delighted to welcome a group of students from Kingston College to one of our live commercial projects in Wimbledon.

The Visit
Our site manager Peter Kvilis led the group on a full walk round of the site, giving the students a genuine first-hand look at how a commercial project operates. Peter walked them through the scale of the operation, the number of people on site, how different trades and roles work together, and how work is planned and delivered day to day. It wasn't a classroom version of construction. It was the real thing.
The students arrived, engaged and left with a much clearer picture of the industry and the range of careers within it. They asked great questions throughout, and Peter took the time to answer every one of them properly.

Why It Matters
Construction offers a wide range of career pathways, from site management and engineering to logistics, surveying and beyond. But for many young people, those opportunities aren't visible until someone opens the door. Site visits like this one are a small but meaningful way to change that.

We're proud of Peter and the wider site team for giving their time to make the visit possible. And we'd encourage any educational institution looking to connect students with live construction projects to reach out, we're always open to the conversation.
